ERROR DURING INITIALIZATION, PAGE 1
Then I went ahead & installed Duet Display on my laptop so I can connect my ipad tablet as a second screen. And now DS & DST have both stopped working completely. 'Error during initialization' shows when starting.

Things I've tried:
Restarting Steam
Restarting my PC
"Verifying Integrity of game Files" on Steam
Editing Settings.ini
Deleting Settings.ini entirely
Re-installing DirectX from the installation file provided by DS in program files
Changing laptop resolution settings
Updating drivers
Running DxDiag khổng lồ see if issue is with my hardware. It isn't.
Downloaded DXFix as it had helped someone else, but the scan returned with an all clear
Deleting & re-installing both DS & DST
Nothing seems khổng lồ be working. Which is really annoying given that the game should play perfectly on my máy tính at max settings.
No need to cốt truyện settings.ini as it is now empty
Any ideas? I want khổng lồ play and I'm sad :(

It's likely an issue with your video clip card driver. Try either updating, or if you updated recently, rolling back the driver.

Any solution? My understanding is diet displays breaks most steam games. Contacted developers for any updates on the solution and they sent me a beta a few months ago that didn’t work either.

Yeah turns out it was just Duet Display... What a bummer! Have to lớn uninstall it whenever I want to play Steam.
